Mary Baldwin College Theatre presents Edward Albee’s thought-provoking, Pulitzer Prize winning play Three Tall Women. Professor Janna Segal’s direction brings to life Albee’s profound, theatrically-compelling portraits of three women at three different stages of life.
In the play, the ninety-one (or is it ninety-two?) year-old A (played by Riley Steiner) sits with her caretaker, B (played by Leslie Chockley), and a young lawyer’s assistant, C (played by Vanessa Ogbuehi). As the three women confront each other, they discover the hard facts of life. In their search for meaning, the audience is drawn deeper into the world of the play and into the complexities of being.
Three Tall Women runs from Wednesday, February 13 to Saturday, February 16 at 7:30 and closes Sunday, February 17 with a matinee at 2:00. Tickets can be purchased online (http:// www.mbc.edu/arts/theatre.php) or by phone (540-887-7189) and will also be available at the door. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. Seating is general admission. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
